The Shrinking Emancipation Dream

When George Bush, trumpeter of the New World Order, declared that we needed a “kinder, gentler” nation in the late 1980s, he was using public-relations-speak from his CIA covert action training: never let on what you really mean, just tell them what they want to hear. “Kinder, gentler” may apply in practice to the upper 5 percent who benefited from Reagan/Bush policies designed to enrich the business class. But to the working mother of three children making 10,500- who paid more in taxes in 1983 than Boeing, General Electric, Du Pont, Texaco, Mobil, and AT&T combined paid on their profits of 13.7 billion-it meant “leaner, meaner” deception.

The wanton people that encourage or allow this to happen make me sick!
